Nanami is an AI so her mind doesn't work the same as a regular person. Also, since she is an AI she is a bit uncomfortable with human contact, it disturbs her a little, so I don't mind people touching her suddenly, but there may be a reaction.
Everything is open to discussion no matter what. Generally if there is an IC reason for it I am good with it.

NAME: Nanami Chiaki
CANON: Danganronpa 2
CANON POINT: After her execution.
AGE: Physically and mentally 17
BACKGROUND:
PERSONALITY:
Nanami easily comes across as a bit out there, generally making strange nonsensical references and allusions to games no one else understands. She likens a lot of things to games and interprets them through game mechanics. This combined with her habit of falling asleep and the amount of time it may take her to reply it gives the false impression that she isn’t all there. However she’s very observant of her surroundings, and though she may not be as quick to realize things as some others she does come to understand things quicker than most. Her biggest problem is translating what she observes as her recourses to express herself are limited, though they grow through time.
As an AI she only came into being at the start of the Neo World Program and because of that when she first starts interacting with everyone else she takes a long time to process information, to from replies as well as try to understand human interaction. But since she’s a growing AI the more time she spends with everyone the quicker her response time becomes, as well as the less down time she experiences. As time goes on she is more involved and pauses less as she replies and sleeps less in between important events. But of course since she is an AI and a new one just experiencing the world as herself for the first time she misunderstands a lot. Human emotions are strange to her and though she may know things on an information level, like a textbook, she doesn’t understand experiencing them or what it means for others. For example she tells Hinata in one of her free time events that she knows how babies are made but not how to fall in love. She doesn’t know where milk comes from, and when told she thinks that if you cut open a carton of milk a cow will come out. Her concept of the world is mostly based on videogames and her base programing which leaves out details like holidays and other culturally relevant things. The only things regarding human interaction she seems to know much about is related to helping with mental health and basic politeness. (Such as knowing that you can’t casually touch people.) However touching living things makes her nervous because of the unpredictability and the weight involved in it.
Nanami’s role in the Neo World Program was that of an observer, she was supposed to take the role of someone everyone could trust and confide in, which happened to be the image of a dead classmate who had been their class representative. Though AI Nanami is a bit different from her human counterpart she manages to take up a similar role, as a calm quiet, but generally liked member of the class. Though some of her behavior is still mandated by her programing, which is to be someone that can be talked to and confided in. The Neo World Program is a program to help those who had suffered great trauma and help them psychologically, in the case of the class it was to help cure their despair, in this case she was working as intended. It was created by Fujisaki Chihiro and Gekkougahara Miyaya, and influenced by Alter Ego. Nanami considers Chihiro her father, Alter Ego her older brother and Usami her older sister.
She plays games day and night, and will pretty much only stop when she falls asleep. She interprets the world through games and gets very excited about them. She even tries to reenact a pull and push box puzzle game in a storage room. She constantly references games and will liken situations to situations in games to better understand them. Also she will play any game, video game, boardgame, it doesn’t matter as long as it’s fun. She is most comfortable with logical games and games based in numbers however. They make sense to her and she can crunch numbers to understand the best way to win or the ultimate path to take. The thing she has the hardest time with is understanding games that require relationships, like dating sims. She’s not good at understanding which responses will get which reactions and the nature of the goal is more ambiguous to her. She doesn’t understand love, but she says she thinks she starts to understand relationships more over the course of the trip. The more she talks to everyone, especially Hinata, the more she comes to understand what being a person is and what feelings are. This is what gives her the strength and determination to sacrifice herself for everyone.
As an Observer she’s not allowed to say who she is. It violates her programing. Early on in the game it’s said there is a traitor among everyone, and that traitor by definition is Nanami, as she is part of the program and not their original classmate. In Chapter 5 Komaeda tries desperately to out the traitor, but Nanami can’t confess, though she tries to in various ways. Finally in the end at the trial she has to use the trial to ask questions to get Hinata to realize who she is. She’s not upset though, she’s frustrated, she’s mad at their circumstances, but she’s not upset with her classmates. She even wonders if things had worked out a different way would Komaeda not felt so compelled to extremes. But, this isn’t to say she doesn’t care about her own life, or the person she is. She does try to escape her execution. There are also times when Hinata mentioned leaving or going back home in which she seems a little sad and tells him “please always remember me”.
Where a lot of the time Nanami is rather quiet and passive during times of exploration and just general hanging around not doing much, this changes when situations become more serious or dire. During trials she is more focused and determined. She also gets more and more involved as the killing game continues, either because she has had more time to be active or because it becomes more and more tragic. She prepares what she can to help understand the situations in the trials ahead of time. For example in chapter 2 she makes a map of a crime scene from a video game they need to figure out to help find the culprit of the murder for that chapter. In Chapter 4 she makes another map of the fun house to try and help orient everyone.
In later chapters she’s more hands on in general, as her programing has had time to run and she experiences more things to allow herself to grow. She is more involved with everyone and actively tries to help guide them. In chapter 4 while delirious Hinata tries to go into the Final Dead room in a desperate attempt to find an answer and a way out. Nanami, who has been concerned, catches him and stops him before he can. She had noticed he seemed worried and followed him. She scolds him for thinking of going in there and then kindly guides him back and away from the dangerous room.
All in all Nanami is a gentle and kind person (but she will stand up and stop things she feels is wrong, as seen when she slaps Owari when Owari is trying to strangle Komaeda), open to learning new experiences like a child and filled with a patient love for her classmates and Usami her fellow Observer.
POWERS/ABILITIES:

Abilities:
Nanami has no special abilities other than being a computer program and having the talent of Ultimate Gamer. As a program she’s very good at analytics and math, being able to solve complex puzzles and other things that computation power can help with.
Alignment: Sosyne. One of Nanami’s defining traits is that she is very calm, even when things are thrown into chaos for everyone and the murders start she doesn’t let that throw her off. Even at her own trial she stays calm throughout. However, even though she’s calm, that isn’t to say she isn’t worried or upset by things. There is a quiet anger at all the events and how they have lead everyone to misfortune and is frustrated by her lack in being able to help.
Other:
I’m assuming she’ll end up with a human body that looks exactly like her digital avatar.
